The Resistance 2.0, two months in
Riffing on Sam Husseini from a Shitter™ shitting by him last night? The professional class version of The Resistance 2.0 is perhaps best summed up by Ilhan Omar allegedly talking about impeachment proceedings over “Signalgate,” or “Signalghazi,” as I’ve seen it called here, but NOT wanting to impeach The Donald himself over the actual bombings and associated war crimes. (Of course, all good members of The Fraud, er The Squad, dutifully, if not excitedly, sheepdogged for Kamala is a Zionist Cop last fall.)
Related is the hypocrisy of Democrats in committee hearings — all Zionist Democrats on the newsmakers — trying to “own” Pete Hegseth, Tulsi Gabbard, John Ratcliffe, etc. over Signalsnafu without addressing the fact that Genocide Joe’s support (and theirs) for Israel’s genocide in Gaza got us to where we are now.
It’s not a lot better at the state level of the professional version of The Resistance 2.0, at least not here in Tex-ass, as Gov. Strangeabbott, Lite Guv Dannie Goeb, and wingnuts-squared in the Texas Lege all feed off Trump? Texas Democrats, meanwhile, at least in the state Senate? With them, who needs Texas Republicans?
But we need to talk about the amateur level as well.
First, as I noted about six weeks ago, too much of the non-elected version still believes Russiagate is real. (Summary of what IS real? Nothing about the Steele Dossier. Yes, Prigozhin’s “Internet Research Agency” did do the fake Facebook groups and other “meddling.” Yes, INDEED, did they hack BOTH Democratic National Committee AND Republican National Committee servers. And yes, that, not Seth Rich, is the source of the Seth Rich emails. Shut UP, Bill Binney, Ray McGovern and others in “VIPS.” No, no state elections departments were hacked. Yes, Trump 1.0 and various minions had a mix of actual lies, obstructions of justice and FBI entrapment lies over this. But, no, Donald J. Trump is NOT a sekrut agent of Vladimir V. Putin. Move on.)
And, until The Resistance 2.0, both amateur and elected versions, STOP believing that, and stops believing Zelensky is Churchill, they’ll remain stuck in a number of ways.
They’ll also remain stuck, per what I wrote about over my banning at the r/Texas subreddit, as long as many BlueAnon out there insist on seeing non-duopoly leftists who criticize Democrats as sekrut Trumpers.
Then, we have things like this Buy Nothing Day, which I indicated at the time seemed to be organized by a guy who came off as one-third sincere, one-third clueless, and one-third high-grade grifter. (Plus, none of his Buy Nothing schtick was BDS-angled.)
I then noted that it’s a mug’s game for The Resistance 2.0 to try to own Christian nationalist types on the issue of what’s authentically Christian. Biblically, you can’t win, and politically, you’re making few converts.
As a non-duopoly voter, well, at least we only have 3 years and 10 months, instead of 4 years, of this tribalism left. At least we don’t have pussy hats this time; even the Buy Nothing Day site doesn’t have them.
